Tide Loads of Hope
Over the past three years, Tide Loads of Hope has provided clean clothes to people in need, helping renew a sense of hope to families affected by disaster. The Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry program was created shortly after Hurricane Katrina to provide much-needed free laundry services to families in New Orleans.
The resilience and spirit of the people of New Orleans inspired Tide to expand the Loads of Hope program to help more families across the U.S. To date, the Tide team has washed nearly 30,000 loads of laundry for over 20,000 families. Tide introduced a new yellow-capped bottle in April 2009, with a portion of proceeds going to families affected by natural disasters.
Tide Loads of Hope provided services after wildfires in Southern California (’07), the Iowa floods (’08), Hurricane Gustav in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA (’08), Hurricane Ike in Galveston, TX (’08), and flooding in Fargo, ND (’09).
