In 1921, Braun was established by Max Braun in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1967, Braun became part of The Gillette Company. Since 2005, Braun has been one of Procter & Gamble’s 22 billion dollar brands.

Braun is the global market leader in its core categories of foil shavers (Series range), epilators (Silk-épil range) and hand blenders (Multiquick range). The Braun Hair Care appliances (Satin Hair range) particularly provide synergistic opportunities with P&G’s other Hair Care brands such as Salon Professional/Wella and Pantene.

Dieter Rams, world-renowned Braun industrial designer between 1955 and 1998, embodied Braun’s thinking when he coined the phrase “Less, but Better.” Dieter Ram’s designs revolutionized the design world and many of his original pieces now appear in museums all over the world, such as the MoMa in New York.
